In Episode 521 of State of the New York Knicks, I break down how I saw the Knicks smoke the Hawks, and I recorded this one with fellow Knicks fans and Knick fans as we talked through another strong performance. From my perspective, this game highlighted how far this team has come, with Mike Brown officially tying Pat Riley for the most wins in a first season as Knicks head coach with 51, and the team continuing to stack wins in big spots. Jalen Brunson took over when it mattered most, finishing with 30 points and 13 assists, including 17 in the fourth quarter and responding immediately after the Hawks took the lead, while OG Anunoby kept showing his value, now 23-4 when scoring 20+ with 22 points, 2 blocks, and a team-high +10, and with 65 games played he’s clearly on track for All-Defensive Team honors. What also stood out to me is how this team is performing across the board with 27 wins against teams over .500, trailing only a few top teams, and holding a 24-6 record against .500 or below teams and 26-22 against above .500 teams, and I get into all of this and more in the episode, so Knicks fans click on the links below and tap in.
