After a brief hiatus, the Orthodontic Practice Podcast returns for episode 6. In this episode, we clarify some of the confusion that has arisen surrounding the Compass e-triage forms in orthodontics as well as recent developments surrounding contract activity, expectations, and monitoring for NHS orthodontics for the rest of 2020/21. In part 1 of our feature interview, we welcome Dave Cottam and Eddie Crouch, Chair of GDPC and Vice-chair of the BDA Principal Executive Committee respectively. In the first part of this wide-ranging interview, we cover topics such as the impact of the pandemic on general dentistry and the subsequent knock-on effect this will have on orthodontics in terms of referrals and adjunctive treatments as well as issues surrounding emergency care, the long-term abatement issue and issues associated with staff and associate pay.
