States Now Have Constitutional Carry

Bryan Fischer here with the Life and Liberty Minute. The purpose of the Constitution was to spell out the inalienable rights that have been given to us by God, which no government and no human authority has the moral right to take away. Among these is “the right to keep and bear arms.” This is not a right that belongs to the states, nor to the militia - no, it is the right of the people to bear arms in their own defense. The federal government can’t take it away, and no state government can take it away, because it is a bedrock right that belongs to the people themselves. The only permit Americans need to bear arms is the Constitution itself. Iowa this week became the 22nd state in the Union to recognize this, allowing its citizens to buy and carry handguns with no permit required. An armed society is a polite society. Iowa is safer and more polite than it was a week ago.
