Have you ever seen a butterfly and thought to yourself, "Wow that's a beautiful caterpillar with wings!" Probably not. When a caterpillar goes through the transformation of becoming a butterfly, it sheds off the old and becomes new. It is no longer a caterpillar, but a brand new creation. Likewise with you; when you transform and become a new creation in Christ, you shed off the old. You are no longer the old, dead person you once were, but you are alive in Christ and you are transformed!
