Drawing on Jesus's parable of the doorkeeper in Mark 13, this sermon diagnoses the symptoms of spiritual sleepiness, the defensiveness, the unfeeling conscience, the drift from duty, and calls believers back to their post. What keeps the doorkeeper awake is not willpower but the certainty that the one who died for us will not forget us.
