Bring The Juice is a sports based podcast making tons of noise in the podcast scene so it was only fitting to collaborate and talk all things football with the guys. Matt and Frank (host of Bring The Juice) talk in detail about Matt's journey to being a 10 year NFL veteran, the long snapping position, how important faith has been for Matt throughout his career and much more. Matt tells a couple of stories detailing his path from JUCO, to semi pro leagues, to the arena league before earning his spot in the NFL. After meeting at their weekly Bible study on Music Row recently, Matt wanted to invite Jasper on to share his story. Unlike most musicians who come to Nashville hoping to live out the dream of releasing music and being on stage, Jasper has taken a different path. From having a full-time job secured that some say keeps him from following the unofficial path to stardom, to having severe vocal issues that has kept him from consistently performing and releasing music Jasper tells his story in his own words. They discuss how Elvie loved music pretty much as soon as he was born and it's always been a part of his life. Growing up he started singing in church until high school when girls became a main priority. As he entered college he along with a couple of buddies formed a group called 88 and would play local bars. As they continue the conversation, Elvie discusses writing the hit "My Boy" which he co-wrote and ended up going #1. He also discusses how he took a break from music, being a preacher at 18, trying to convince himself he's either atheist or agnostic, getting his publishing and record deals, what he's got going on and what is to come for him. The grind of going undrafted in the NFL to sending out countless tapes to coaches, playing in different leagues has lead Matt to appreciate the hustle of artists' who make the move to the Music City in hopes of making it big. Tyler's story is no different, while working at a ranch in Wyoming, he was offered a guest house in Dickson (which is right outside of Nashville) by a family. He took them up on the offer, moved out here and immediately started the pursuit of making it on the country music scene. As the conversation continues Tyler opens up about a dream he had where he saw Jesus and woke up crying, how one of his friends could tell he was struggling spiritually his faith and how Jesus has helped him along the way of his journey. He also talks getting baptized in a horse troth with another country artist and really good friends, social media's affect on promoting music, and sharing his faith in music and amongst his peers.
