We're back!!! Ruthie and Brian talk through Star Trek: Discovery, Season 4 Episode 3, titled Choose to Live. This episode was written by Terri Hughes Burton and it was directed by Christopher J. Bryne.
We're sorry that this episode came out so late for regular listeners. It's become increasingly more difficult to get the episodes edited in a timely fashion. I'll try to get caught up, but that's going to be difficult.
If you haven't seen this episode of Star Trek: Discovery, stop right now!!! Go watch it, then come back!!! We'll be here for you! Ruthie liked it more than last week. I liked it less. Both of us realized that the last episode's rating may have been too generous.
We take a bit of a break from the anomaly story to go after a rogue Qowat Milat who has killed a Starfleet officer. It's up to Burnham, Burnham's mom, and Tilly to bring her in. Stamets has theories about the anomaly, and, with Booker in tow, heads to Ni'Var to discuss them with members of the Ni'Var Science Academy.
We are happy that Gray now has a body. We want him to have a purpose, and it can't just be there to be seen. That's not enough. Seeing is not doing.
