In this episode of Steadfast, we continue our Women of the Bible series with Ruth: a woman who experienced loss, left behind everything familiar, stepped into an uncertain future, and chose faithfulness without knowing what God was building.

From Ruth's decision to follow Naomi to the fields of Bethlehem and ultimately into the beautiful story of redemption God was writing, we'll discover that some of God's greatest work happens through seemingly ordinary acts of obedience.

“Yes, Lord. I’m listening.”

Read Luke 1:26–38 and identify one area where fear, uncertainty, or your need for answers has made surrender difficult.

Then pray:

“God, show me my next obedient step.”

You don’t need the next ten steps.

You don’t need the entire five-year plan.

Ask God for the courage to take the next faithful step.

Mary’s story reminds us that we don’t have to understand everything before we trust God.

Sometimes faith begins with a simple response:

“Lord, I am Yours.”

She called Him El Roi—the God Who Sees Me.

The Shepherd Is Still Leading You | Learning to Trust God Through Psalm 23

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” — Psalm 23:1

Psalm 23 has been one of my favorite chapters of Scripture since I was young. At 16 years old, I remember sitting alone in my room reading these words and experiencing an overwhelming sense of peace. I didn’t know then just how many valleys I would eventually walk through—but I was beginning to know the Shepherd who would walk through them with me.

In this deeply personal episode of Steadfast: Biblical Truth. Daily Encouragement. Unshakable Hope., we’re walking through Psalm 23 and uncovering seven powerful truths about God’s protection, provision, restoration, guidance, and unconditional love.

I’ll also share part of my own testimony—seasons when I wandered, struggled with my identity, questioned my future, and found myself in valleys I never imagined walking through. Yet through it all, God remained faithful. He protected me, pursued me, restored my relationship with Him, and reminded me of who I am.

Today, I can confidently say:

I know who I am because I know who He is.

If you’re walking through a valley right now, this episode is for you. The valley may be part of your journey, but it does not have to be your final destination. Your Shepherd has not abandoned you. He is still leading, still protecting, still restoring, and still loving you.

When God Is Your Confidence, You Stop Chasing Approval

How much of your confidence depends on what other people think about you?

In this episode of Steadfast — Biblical Truth. Daily Encouragement. Unshakable Hope., we’re talking about something so many of us wrestle with: the need for approval.

It’s easy to let people's opinions determine how we see ourselves. We can become discouraged by rejection, consumed by comparison, afraid of criticism, or constantly looking for someone to tell us that we're enough.

But what if we stopped looking to the world for something only God can give us?

When your confidence is rooted in God, you don't have to chase validation, recognition, or acceptance. You can stand firm knowing that your identity isn't determined by who accepts you, who rejects you, or who understands you.

In this episode, we’ll talk about:

What do you do when the giant in front of you feels bigger than the God you believe in?

In this episode of Steadfast, we take a deeper look at the story of David and Goliath and discover that this familiar story is about so much more than a young shepherd defeating a giant. It's about faith, fear, courage, identity, obedience, perspective, and trusting God when what you're facing feels impossible.

David didn't deny Goliath's size. He simply refused to believe that Goliath was bigger than God.

And sometimes, that's the shift we need to make in our own lives.

Our giants may not look like Goliath. They may look like fear, loneliness, rejection, disappointment, temptation, uncertainty, broken relationships, discouragement, or the pressures of today's society.

In this episode, I also open up about one of the biggest giants I've personally had to face: divorce—a season I never imagined would be part of my story. I share what it looked like to wrestle with fear, loneliness, and uncertainty, and how God began teaching me that fear doesn't have to control my decisions or determine my future.

In the final episode of our Fruit of the Spirit series, we explore the final three fruits found in Galatians 5:22–23: faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

These three fruits challenge us to examine our character when nobody is watching, when we're frustrated, when we're tempted to react, and when our desires are pulling us in a different direction.

I'll share honestly about my own journey of learning to remain faithful to what God has called me to—including this podcast and, most importantly, my relationship with Him. I'll also talk about learning to slow down my reactions, seek God before responding, and understand that I don't have to act on every emotion or desire.

Most importantly, we'll talk about what it means to be set apart and to live a life that belongs to God.

Because faithfulness asks:

“Can God trust me with what He has placed in my hands?”

Gentleness asks:

“Will I allow someone else's behavior to change my character?”

And self-control asks:

“Does every desire I have deserve my obedience?”

As we close this series, we're bringing all nine fruits together and asking the question that matters most:

Not perfection.

Not performance.

Transformation.

What if the thing you're waiting on isn't being delayed—but God is using the waiting to develop you?

In Episode 2 of our Fruit of the Spirit series, we dive into three fruits that are often tested when life doesn't go according to our plans: patience, kindness, and goodness.

Waiting can make us frustrated. Being mistreated can make us want to retaliate. And doing the right thing can be difficult when nobody is watching.

But what if those moments are exactly where God is developing our character?

In this episode, I'll share part of my own journey of waiting on God and learning that sometimes He doesn't change the situation first—He changes us first. I'll also talk honestly about learning not to “match energies” when people hurt or frustrate me, and how God has been teaching me that kindness doesn't mean allowing people to mistreat me. It means refusing to let someone else's behavior change the character God is developing in me.

And when it comes to goodness, we're challenged to ask:

Who am I when nobody is watching?

Because God sees the choices we make in secret. He sees our obedience, our struggles, our motives, and the person we're becoming.

“Who am I becoming while I wait?”

Maybe the waiting isn't wasted.

Maybe the difficult people aren't opportunities to become bitter.

Maybe the quiet seasons aren't empty.

Maybe God is using all of it to refine you.
