In this powerful episode of the Steadfast Men Podcast, I sit down with Farshid Rezaee, a man born and raised in Iran, who grew up as a Muslim and later encountered Jesus Christ in a way that changed everything.
With the world paying close attention to what’s happening in Iran, Farshid shares firsthand what life is really like growing up in an Islamic country. He opens up about the pressures, fears, and realities of living under a Muslim system—and what it meant to secretly follow Jesus while having to live a double life to protect himself and others.
Farshid walks us through:
-What it was like growing up Muslim in Iran
-How he came to know Jesus as Lord and Savior
-The dangers and challenges of hiding his Christian faith
-His journey from Iran to Malaysia, and eventually to America
-Why religious freedom in the U.S. means so much to him
Today, Farshid lives in the United States and is deeply involved in ministry. He works with PRISM (Pittsburgh Region International Student Ministries), where he shares the gospel, disciples international students, participates in Bible studies, speaks as an apologist, and helps with outreach events. He also serves as an Outreach Pastor at Three Rivers Grace Church.
If you’ve ever wondered what it costs to follow Jesus in places like Iran—or why the gospel is spreading even under persecution—this conversation will encourage and challenge you.
