"Disclaimer: Please be advised, there will be discussion on suicide; it will be brief, but please take care when listening.
This is a rehash of an episode we did in season 1. All about mental health and why it's important as tradies. As sole traders, to establish that sometimes, everything gets a bit too hard. And it's ok. It's ok to have your low moments. In truth, I have been struggling a bit too much of late. So in order to get something out for you this month, I am being pragmatic and practical. Life tends to keep going even if you are struggling. But to those who are feeling a bit low, or are just not themselves, I see you, and I feel ya!

Hello, my dear leaflets,
Annie Richards was the first white woman to reside in Fowler Bay and lived through the harsh conditions of that area. She collected flowers for Mueller and Tate. She was instrumental in the collating of some of the amazing plant specimens in the collection housed at the National Australian Herbarium.
Plants synonymous to Annie and Thomas:
Eucalyptus youngiana F.Muell (1876) as 'Richardson',
Erysimum richardsii F.Muell. (1877),
Parmelia hypoxantha Müll.Arg. (1881),
Parmelia conspersa var. polyphylloides Müll.Arg. (1883),
Puccinia wurmbeae Cooke & Massee (1888),
Helipterum troedelii F.Muell. (1890), as 'Mrs Richards',
Helipterum jessenii F.Muell. (1890),
Bassia longicuspis F.Muell. (1891), as 'Mrs Richards', and
Nicotiana goodspeedii H.-M.Wheeler (1935), as 'Richards'.

Hello, my dear leaflets, welcome to episode 35. It's a prelude to the next mini, as we are going to be talking about plant collectors! So what do plant collectors have to do with the way we see plants now? Why is Scrat the squirrel mentioned, and who is Otzi?

Hello, my dear leaflets,
We're talking about planting and harvesting in the colder months. Do you remember what a brassica is? And what's the correct way to pronounce Herb? It may surprise you!
What are you harvesting in your garden atm?

First of all, I would like to apologise for the sound quality. I thought it would be better to get another episode out while my Mac is still working. The warning at the beginning of the episode pertains to about a minute of content.

Apologies to everyone, I did not do a quote this time. I realise the sound is not great, but this was the third time I'd recorded it. Anyway, enjoy,

This podcast is about everything plants. It is in episodic format. The first few were dedicated to kitchen gardens. I talk about indoor plants and making your gardens stress-free. …
I also have minis on women who paved the way for women like myself in this industry. From the first to get degrees in horticulture, to the women who made it easier for us modern gals to study at places like Burnley
In 2025, I start a new imagining of bites. These are about my favourite plants and how you will also fall in love with them. I will tell you about how to grow them.
In the future, I hope to have some interviews with women in horticulture of today.
