It was a snowy December morning in St. Joseph County, Indiana - right outside of South Bend. William Joyce was driving, barely unable to see what was right in front of him.

Then, suddenly, he hit what he knew right away was a person. Almost immediately, he sensed something was off here, and police would spend almost 100 years trying to figure out what it was.
