The unknown can be a terrifying thing can't it? As Christ followers we know that we are supposed to trust God with everything but when we can't see where we are going that can be scary. I'll be the first one to admit that I have to remind myself daily of the goodness and faithfulness of God so that I trust Him fully! Without looking back at all he's done in my life and the lives of others (like my guest this week) it's a challenge to embrace my faith and trust God's plan. 

That's exactly why I invited Renee Helmkamp to share a little of her testimony with us this week. She is a mom and now grandma that is living her best life in her 6th decade of life! She is a pediatric physical therapist by education and recently returned to the USA from living & serving for 3 years in the Dominican Republic. Now Renee is going back to school to become a preschool teacher for students with special needs and going on the adventure of a lifetime with the Lord.  

Hearing her story of trusting the Lord was exactly what I needed this week. It's an emotional and grief filled time for me personally and when I hear these stories of God's faithfulness it reminds me of his presence and his deep love for me. I pray it does the same for you.
