Scripture teaches us that the steps of a good person are ordered of The Lord. Life is lived on levels or in stages. We experience it in seasons. Our modern culture is somewhat spoiled because so many thing can be acquired through instant access. The library has been replaced with a keyboard. It has been said that we live in a microwave society, but we serve a crockpot God. He seems to be slow to intervene, but in truth, He is methodical. At each step, we need to learn to ask the necessary questions. What do I need to glean from this situation? What is there to gain? What is this stage teaching me, that I can take with me to the next level? There is no gift of maturity. Some things we will only learn from experience. Trust the process. The steps are important. The preparation is necessary for the promise that we have been given. What God is doing IN me, will ultimately work FOR me. Praise Him on the steps!
