Last week we talked about how to present a surgical patient, which is one of the best ways to showcase your thought processes and medical knowledge in medical school. Once you know how to present a patient, it follows that you should know how to "follow" a patient (or "carry" a patient) throughout your clerkship. This basically means that that is your patient, you see them every morning that you are on service, and a big part of that is pre-rounding and preparing your presentations for rounding, see Ep. 1 :)
