Steve Churton is now not on the pharmacy register but whilst he was he worked right at the top of the profession in the UK. For example, for some years he was the superintendent pharmacist at Boots and he was also the President of the RPSGB as it separated from the newly formed GPhC to become what we now know to be the RPS.
In this podcast, we have a blether about all things pharmacy including what he would like to see changed in the RPS, cultural barriers to change with pharmacy, opportunities for community pharmacy, remote supervision, new ways of working and he told me about some of his adventures while working for Boots. I didn't know, for example, that he helped to invent the carousel dispensary at Boots and he was also designed the business case for the Advantage card on the back of a beer mat in Schipol airport.
