It’s been almost 9 years since the passing of Steve Jobs.

And I still occasionally think about Steve Jobs and what he stood for.

Steve Jobs had the key insight that great innovation combined technology and the liberal arts.

He embraced science and technology, but also humanities and liberal arts.

Rather than seeing them opposed, he saw them as complimentary.

People tend to make shallow judgements and reject things that oppose their existing beliefs.

But it’s possible the seemingly opposing beliefs can be true and held in one hand.

In investing it’s important to have both exceptional quantitative and qualitative skills.

In other words, it’s crucial to look at both the numbers side of the company but also the management, leadership and product.

Elon Musk also has brought together a deep understanding of science and technology and combined it with design, accessibility and ease-of-use to make revolutionary products that are changing the world.
