Steve Pollick, has been an Ohio Outdoor News columnist since the paper's inception in 2005. prior to that he wrote for the The Blade newspaper in Toledo, Ohio for 40 years and its outdoors editor since 1982. His bylined stories and columns also have appeared in local, regional, state, and national magazines for more than 40 years.

Steve has travelled the world in search adventures and interesting stories like nearly being jailed in Kenya, being knighted into the Jagermeisters' guild of the Czech Republic, sailing, hunting, fishing and backpacking.
