Steven Jay Rubin’s Saturday Night At The Movies

Steve does a deep dive into 1978's Capricorn One with its director Peter Hyams.

Steve speaks with veteran radio, television and film actor Tommy Cook whose career stretches from The Adventures of Red Ryder serial from Republic Pictures (he was the Little Beaver) to Tarzan and the Leopard Woman opposite Johnny Weissmuller to films with Victor Mature, Audie Murphy, Richard Widmark, Tyrone Power, Jimmy Stewart and Van Heflin. He also wrote and produced Rollercoaster (1977).

Steve speaks at length with retired talent agent, author and film packager Budd Burton Moss who relates stories of working with a constellation of actors in the 1950s and 1960s, including Rita Hayworth, his long time friendship with Sidney Poitier, his marriage to actress Ruth Roman (Strangers on a Train), her harrowing tale of survival on the sinking Andrea Doria luxury liner, and much more. A very rich interview.
