Travis Wilson is a Native of Wichita Falls, Texas and has lived in various other states to include Alaska and Oregon. In 1993 Travis Graduated from East Anchorage High. He attended Wentworth Military Academy for one year before deciding to enter the Army in 1995. In 2001 Travis left the Army to attend Boise State University and study Exercise Science. In 2003 He reentered the Army to attend the Special Forces Qualification Course. At the end of 2005 Travis Graduated the Q course and was stationed at Fort Carson’s 10th Special Forces Group.

Chris “Cappy” grew up in Long Island, New York. During his first year of film school he enlisted in the Army National Guard as an 11 Bravo Infantryman. He deployed to Iraq where his unit, the 56th Stryker Brigade, was responsible for an Area of Operations just north of Baghdad. After returning home he graduated from NYU and worked for the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Chris previously worked at the Military Media publisher Task & Purpose as a video producer and on air talent.

Tonight we are talking with former NY Army National Guard Captain, Dennis Knowles. Dennis was deployed with Stew to Afghanistan in 2006-2007. Dennis served on the Afghan-Pakistan border with the Afghan National Army.

Chuck was a career officer, who was wounded in Iraq in 2005. When going through Army Career and Alumni Program as part of the US Army retirement process Chuck finally gave thought to what he wanted to do in his post-Army life. Then it dawned on him, “I am happiest when I’m with my dog”, so he then thought of all the things his dogs had helped me with. So he looked into service dogs for wounded warriors, and found that the pipeline is most narrow at the intake: more need than capable dogs.

In this episode we will talk with Chris Ekstrom. Chris ran for U.S. House Texas District 13 as a republican, and is a current member of the US Term Limits, board of Directors.
