A steward is someone who has the authority to provide for others as well as manage for themselves. Leaders ask the congregants for their provision is no the idea of stewardship that God designed. One cannot have dominion and not practice good stewardship. Stewardship is not for selfish hearts.

How we treat people and the blessings that God gives determines if God will continue to bless us. A steward has a vision and is able to provide for all in their presence with the blessing of God. Stewards have the spirit of God. They seek God for the provision and the wisdom to carry the vision through.
