The name of the game today is spicy! The Argentum and the Sagamore Rye Barrel Select both offered varying degrees of spice that really fused these two together. This was a very enjoyable pairing. The Cohiba was complex yet not strong or harsh. Likewise the HP12 was very smooth but you did pick up a touch of iodine in the first couple of sips probably do to its island origin and the surrounding salt water. These are definitely a try.

This was an exceptional pairing from the first light. Both the stick and the spirit offered a gentle sweetness with no harshness at all. The stick is a little pricey at about $25 but it is worth every penny. The spirit is a classic Speyside with no smoke or peat just wonderful aromas and flavors of fruit and breezy spring meadows and moderately priced around $40/750ml.

How could I go wrong with this matchup. Two of my favorite brands in one pairing. The Flor de San Andres was a great smoke, the An Andres wrapper really shined. The JW 18 YO is smooth and may be replacing Green Label as my favorite JW offering. Definitely need to try these two. CHEERS!

This was a really good pairing. The RYJ was not complex but a solid smoke. The Tullabardine was a very complex, delicious spirit that I would recommend.
