 Just like a team or choir, God loves it when His children work together. On Pentecost, the Spirit came when believers were together in one place.

On the Day of Pentecost, the Spirit came when the believers were united in one place. God’s Spirit still moves when His people are of one heart and one mind.

Just like letters come together to make words, or puzzle pieces come together to make a picture, we belong together as the body of Christ.

We are one body with many parts, and each part belongs to the other. When God’s people are united like on the Day of Pentecost the Spirit moves in power. Division weakens us, but unity builds us up.

God sees your steady service. Just as Joseph, Daniel, and the faithful servants in the parable were rewarded, so too will you hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Don’t grow weary in doing good, for your labor in the Lord is never in vain.

 Just like a clean dish is ready to be used, a clean heart is ready for God’s good work.

 God cleanses us not just to remove sin, but to make us ready to serve. Clean vessels are useful vessels.

 A garden can’t grow with too many weeds. Our hearts are the same way. When we let God pull out the weeds, His Word grows strong in us.

 Just as weeds choke a garden, sin and clutter choke God’s Word in our hearts. God calls us to pull the weeds so His Word can grow strong.
