Stitch Talks Ish

In 2022, people continued to be angrier that fans of color dared to talk about the racism they were seeing/experiencing in fandom they were about the racism in fandom itself. In 2022 priorities remained skewed, racists were even bolder, people keep insisting that talking about racism in fandom is anti fandom in and of itself, and once again I am reminded that I alone (to say nothing of other fans of color speaking up in smaller spaces) am punished and harassed more for documenting this ...

I've watched the first episode of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War twice in the past twenty-four hours. I recorded this episode... so I would at least take a few minutes before diving right back into it for a third time.Support the show

The second part of my two-part Festa episode arc. This is all about the tough stuff - the Festa dinner, enlistment (broadly), the not-hiatus, and the future of BTS and ARMY. I'm grateful for the fandom, having the room to explore and talk about stuff so I unpack it, my co-fans who lent me their voices for this episode, and of course... I'm grateful to BTS for being willing to be vulnerable on main in a world where that's not always respected.I'll update the listing and/or my website with...

The first of several BTS-related episodes. This is all about the content that we've gotten: the end of the Grammys, the PTD in Las Vegas concerts, the anthology album Proof, and the content overload that is FESTA 2022. This episode wound up not having any audience participation. The next episode, about the FESTA dinner and news of a "hiatus" will have... at least one. Support the show

On our latest episode, I caught up with Tabitha Carvan, author of the book this is not a book about benedict cumberbatch: the joy of loving something -- anything-- like your life depends on itTabitha's book is a callback to everything that I loved about Sherlock fandom and what does make fandom so good and empowering even with its rough spots. We had a great chat about what we love, how we love it, and what are some of the best parts of being in a fandom! this is not a book about benedi...

I've always been accused of being a Tumblr or armchair activism but like all the things assigned to me... I don't claim this either. But isn't it interesting that caring makes you an activist (derogatory) but not caring makes you a hero? In fandom, at least. I'm so tired. Support the show

I invited my friend Lala to do a concert post-mortem (positive) and we chat about the latest BTS concerts (Permission to Dance on Stage in Seoul), our past concerts, and our engagement with the fandom and BTS!Support the show

In which I cover the current state of racism in queer/feminist fandom. Newsflash: it's even more racist than previous years and yet, next year will be worse!Support the show
