No the title does not mean I am implying that Edward Domain & Tyler Kessler are Uber & Goober, but it does mean that this is the topic for my discussion with this pair of local St. Louis entrepreneurs.
As has been well documented in St. Louis, and discussed on this very show in the past, Edward Domain is giving it everything he has in order to see change in how the Metropolitan Taxi Commission operates. While doing this, he has been in somewhat regular contact with both St. Louis city Mayor Slays & St. Louis County Executive Steve Stengers offices to get them to help orchestrate this change.
As of the time of this recording however, that has failed to reap any fruit from all of the labor.
Enter Tyler Kessler and friends.
Tyler Kessler works for a St. Louis company called Invisible Industries, of which you may know best for the Invisible Girlfriend & Invisible Boyfriend virtual relationship service. Have a listen to our talk with Invisible Girlfriend here.
In just a matter of days, Tyler and some other local devs, got together and created Get Goober which is a simply parody service that pokes fun at the ridiculous situation that continues to drag on here in St. Louis regarding Uber & other ridesharing services such as Lyft.
Get Goober has been covered on numerous local news outlets along with recently being discussed by Inc.com.
Also to get involved in helping bringing Uber to St. Louis, simply text STL to 52886.
Connect with Edward Domain, founder & CEO of Techli.com via Twitter at @EdwardDomain.
You can connect with Tyler Kessler via Twitter as well at @TylerKessler.
