We're back! Brian and Kyle talk through Star Trek: Lower Decks S2E5, titled An Embarrassment of Dooplers. The Cerritos escorts a diplomat with a very weird quirk to a conference at Starbase 25, Boimler and Mariner try to crash a big Starfleet party, while Tendi and Rutherford play with model starships. We thought it was a better episode than last week - especially Kyle, who did not like last week's episode AT ALL.
You may notice that the audio sounds a little different this week, specifically, the intro and outro music. We have been using AAC files instead of MP3 for the Star Trek podcast episodes. However, for some reason, we couldn't upload the AAC file to our hosting provider, so we're going with the MP3 version instead. The only thing you may notice is that the music sounds is in mono.
We have been blessed with voicemails from Mary Lou for the last three episodes. Well, we've got another voicemail from Mary Lou, and it seems that Mary Lou has an admirer. We've got two voicemails from a fan of Mary Lou!
Like most episodes of Lower Decks, this one is filled with Easter Eggs from Star Trek of old. This one was no different. I couldn't find an article with them this week, so I found my own. I found quite a few, but there were a lot more that I missed, particularly in the bar.
