  • Dow Jones, S&P 500 Futures Fall as Investors Await SK Hynix Debut and US Reportedly Mulls ‘Technical Talks’ With Iran— PMGC Holdings, WD-40, Netflix In Focus

U.S. stock futures were lower on Friday, as the Dow Jones, Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 indices fell, following Thursday’s higher close.

As the tensions in the Middle East re-escalated this week, MS Now reported that the U.S. will engage in “technical talks” with Iran and remains committed to resolving the conflict. This followed fresh reports from the Wall Street Journal on Thursday that said Iran has developed a fresh plan to kill President Donald Trump, marking what could be a significant escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran.

Market attention is centered on the AI sector ahead of SK Hynix Inc.’s (NASDAQ:SKHY) highly anticipated Nasdaq debut. This IPO arrives as investors evaluate a recent semiconductor sell-off that has tested confidence in the AI boom.

Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.54%, and the two-year bond was at 4.17%. The CME Group’s FedWatch tool‘s projections show markets pricing a 79.1% likelihood of the Federal Reserve leaving the current interest rates unchanged during July’s meeting.

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF(NASDAQ: QQQ), which track the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, respectively, were lower in premarket on Friday. The SPY was down 0.11% at $750.91, while the QQQ declined by 0.48% to $719.73.

  • S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Dow Jones Futures Rise as US-Iran Exchange Strikes—Levi Strauss, AZZ, Ionis Pharma In Focus

U.S. stock futures advanced on Thursday, as the Dow Jones, Nasdaq 100, and S&P 500 indices rose, following Wednesday’s mixed close.

Investor sentiment was supported by a resilient labor market as initial jobless claims ticked down to 215,000 for the week ending July 4. The slight decline from the previous week's revised 217,000 underscores a steady and mature economic expansion, giving the Federal Reserve more breathing room on monetary policy.

After President Donald Trump declared that the Iran ceasefire was “over,” the U.S. military launched additional strikes on Iran aimed at weakening Tehran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran responded with strikes against U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf doubled down on claims about Tehran controlling the Strait of Hormuz and said the U.S. still has not learned that "bullying" and going back on commitments are no longer without consequences.

Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.56%, and the two-year bond was at 4.19%. The CME Group’s FedWatch tool’s projections show markets pricing a 72.7% likelihood of the Federal Reserve leaving the current interest rates unchanged during July’s meeting.

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ: QQQ), which track the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, respectively, were higher in premarket on Thursday. The SPY was up 0.31% at $747.74, while the QQQ advanced by 0.98% to $718.38.

  • S&P 500, Dow, Nasdaq Futures Fall as Trump Says Iran Ceasefire Is 'Over'— Saratoga, Exxon Mobil, Levi's Strauss In Focus

U.S. stock futures declined on Wednesday, as the Dow Jones, Nasdaq 100, and S&P 500 indices fell, following Tuesday’s lower close.

President Donald Trump, while speaking in Ankara ahead of a NATO summit in the Turkish capital, said that the memorandum of understanding signed with Iran to end the conflict was “over,” according to Reuters.

This followed as American military actions targeting Iran late Tuesday reignited anxieties in the Middle East. CENTCOM said that “U.S. Central Command forces have begun launching a series of powerful strikes against Iran to impose heavy costs for targeting and attacking commercial shipping crewed by innocent civilians in an international waterway.”

Investors are also awaiting the minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee meeting with Kevin Warsh as the new Chairman, which will be released later today.

Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.56%, and the two-year bond was at 4.20%. The CME Group’s FedWatch tool’s projections show markets pricing a 72.7% likelihood of the Federal Reserve leaving the current interest rates unchanged during July’s meeting.

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ: QQQ), which track the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, respectively, were lower in premarket on Wednesday. The SPY was down 0.59% at $743.30, while the QQQ declined by 0.90% to $703.08.

  • Dow Jones Futures Fall,  S&P 500, Nasdaq Gain Following Independence Day Weekend— Intel, SanDisk, Tesla, Ford In Focus

U.S. stock futures were mixed on Monday, as the Dow Jones index fell, while the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 indices rose, following Thursday's mixed close.

The positive moves followed a long Independence Day weekend, which saw the Nasdaq Composite move down amid a decline in semiconductor stocks, even while the Dow Jones index surged to record highs during Thursday’s session.

Major updates this week include Elon Musk‘s Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) joining the Nasdaq 100 index before Tuesday’s opening bell. This week’s quarterly results from PepsiCo Inc. (NASDAQ:PEP) and Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE:DAL) will show investors how uncertainty and volatile oil prices have impacted consumers. SK Hynix will also list on Nasdaq this Friday.

Job growth cooled sharply in June, with payrolls rising just 57,000 — well below the 115,000 consensus and down from a revised 129,000 in May. April was also cut by 31,000, bringing combined revisions to a net minus 74,000.

Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.46%, and the two-year bond was at 4.11%. The CME Group’s FedWatch tool’s projections show markets pricing a 75.9% likelihood of the Federal Reserve leaving the current interest rates unchanged during July’s meeting.

  • Dow Jones Futures Rise, Nasdaq Falls as Trump Says Iran's 'Denuclearization' Is Going Well—CoreWeave, Nebius, Micron, Franklin Covey in Focus

U.S. stock futures pared earlier losses to advance on Thursday, as the Dow Jones, Nasdaq 100, and S&P 500 indices rose, following Wednesday's lower close.

Investors digested a cooler-than-expected labor market picture as June nonfarm payrolls increased by a mere 57,000, significantly missing the 100,000 FactSet estimate, while the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.2%.

Meanwhile, seasonally adjusted initial jobless claims for the week ending June 27 ticked down slightly to 215,000. Trading volume is expected to remain light as the market will be closed tomorrow, Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.

As U.S. stocks logged their strongest quarter since 2020, the market milestone was celebrated by President Donald Trump following positive developments in indirect U.S.-Iran negotiations in Qatar.

Easing global energy supply fears, Trump told reporters, "As far as things are going, the denuclearization of Iran is moving along well," adding, "They’ve had very good meetings and we’ll see."

Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.49%, and the two-year bond was at 4.17%. The CME Group’s FedWatch tool’s projections show markets pricing a 70.6% likelihood of the Federal Reserve leaving the current interest rates unchanged during July’s meeting.

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ: QQQ), which track the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, respectively, were higher in premarket on Thursday. The SPY was up 016% at $746.95, while the QQQ advanced by 0.29% to $727.25.

  • Dow, Nasdaq, S&P 500 Futures Fall As Iran Rules Out Direct Talks With US— Nike, Constellation Brands, Bloom Energy In Focus

U.S. stock futures declined on Wednesday, as the Dow Jones, Nasdaq 100, and S&P 500 indices fell, following Tuesday’s higher close.

Market sentiment faced fresh geopolitical pressure as Iran ruled out direct talks with U.S. envoys, stating that "no meeting at any level with the American side has been scheduled for the coming days." The diplomatic impasse casts uncertainty over a fragile ceasefire near a critical oil transit route, pushing negotiators to communicate solely through Qatari mediators.

Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.47%, and the two-year bond was at 4.17%. The CME Group’s FedWatch tool’s projections show markets pricing a 66.3% likelihood of the Federal Reserve leaving the current interest rates unchanged during July’s meeting.

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ: QQQ), which track the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, respectively, were lower in premarket on Wednesday. The SPY was down 0.18% at $745.42, while the QQQ declined by 0.54% to $732.45.
