Nifty witnessed upside bounce so far with range bound action. 

Intraday support is placed at 18,100.

Traders - be cautious on the index front in January

U.S. stocks ended lower Friday, booking their worst annual losses since 2008.  The Dow dropped 8.8% in 2022, while the S&P 500 tumbled 19.4% and the technology-heavy Nasdaq plunged 33.1%.

US markets will be closed Monday in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday, which falls on Sunday.

Nifty has formed a bearish pattern on the charts, long side traders need to be cautious on the nifty front for this month.

17,774 now becomes an important support level to track. On up moves, 18,255-18,473 band remains a crucial resistance.

Indian markets could open flat to mildly lower.
