Stocks Drop Most Since Black Monday, Surge Most Since 2008

This week, U.S. stocks suffered the most since the Black Monday crash of 1987 on coronavirus fears before surging at the Friday close with the biggest rally since 2008. Dr. Amesh Adalja, senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Health Security, joined with a public health perspective on the outbreak. Former Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Alan Blinder and New York Fed President Bill Dudley came on to discuss how central bankers were responding to the crisis. Then Henrietta Treyz, director of economic policy research at Veda Partners, gave an outlook on the prospect for the stimulus package making its way through Congress.
