• Petrobras (PBR) - Shares were down more than 15% in Friday's pre-market session following news the company will cut prices for its diesel gas.
• Repligen (RGEN) - The target of a recent rumor. Shares spiked higher on Thursday following chatter the company rejected a takeover offer from Catalent (CTLT). The stock immediately saw profit taking following the rumor and spike and closed about 4% lower. The Benzinga Pro newsdesk team could not verify the source of the rumor.
• Veru (VERU) - A stock mentioned as "worth watching" in the Benzinga Pro #swimmers chat. Shares closed up more than 30% on Thursday following the company's quarterly results. The stock traded as high as $18 on Thursday and flirted with the $16 level Friday morning.
• Constellation Brands (STZ) - A niche way to play the cannabis market. Constellation Brands owns a nearly 40% stake in major cannabis name Canopy Growth (CGC). CNBC's Jim Cramer highlighted this nugget of info on his "Mad Money" show Thursday evening.
• Freshpet (FRPT) - A play on pet food. Anecdotally, many stores in the metro Detroit area have been largely sold out of Fresh Pet over the last few weeks.
