Imogen is a National Geographic expedition scientist. A Marine biologist by training specialising in plastics and their effects on nature. 

Her research has lead to a ban of microbeads in cosmetics internationally, discovering biodegradable bags still function after 3 years at the bottom of the ocean and recognised the presence of microplastics at the summit of Everest.

We discuss ways of tackling our waste including the great Pacific garbage patch. The deceptive nature of 'biodegradable' and parasites that can target plastics, ancestral living and other divergent paths.
