When we experience days like September 11, 2001, we desperately want to know that we're not alone. We long for someone—someone who can see what we cannot see—to rise up and reassure us: “Your story is not over.” Because when you're living through the worst chapter of your life, you don't know it's a chapter. You think it's the whole story. You don't have the whole manuscript. You only have the page you're standing on. And that's where Joseph's story becomes so powerful.

Every parent eventually has to do something they don't want to do: let go. There comes a moment when you realize you can't walk the road for your children anymore. You can give them advice. You can pray for them. You can make a great proposal for their life. You can load the car. You can even check the tires one more time. But eventually, they have to take off themselves. That's when we rely on God and Proverbs 3:5-6
