If you can remember your password, it is weak. Your brain defaults to patterns, and patterns are easy to break. It is time to stop using your browser to save credentials and time to dump closed-source managers that rely on "trust me, bro" marketing.

We are trading convenience for verification. I am explaining why browser storage is a security nightmare and why I avoid tools like 1Password and LastPass. Instead, we are looking at two of my favorite tools for privacy: Proton Pass for cloud sync, and KeePassXC for total local control.
