In my last video, I crowned the YubiKey 5 as the "King of Keys" but it has a fatal flaw. It is proprietary. For those of us who believe in digital sovereignty and the right to audit our own hardware, blind trust is not an option.
Then there is Nitrokey 3A NFC. It promises open-source firmware, transparent design, and code written in memory safe Rust. But does "open" actually mean "good?" Today, we look at whether the moral high ground is worth the inconvenience, why the Android experience might be a deal breaker, and who should actually buy this device.

February 19, 2026Divoom Pixoo 64 Review: Great Hardware, Bad Software
The Pixoo 64 is a great looking piece of hardware that I wanted to like. But after getting it into the studio and putting it through its paces, the verdict is in, the software is a mess. Between the data hungry mobile app and "real-time" counters that lag behind by many hours, it is hard to justify the $159.99 price tag.
In this video, I am looking at the technical failures that make this more of a toy than a tool for creators. I’ll show you why the API integration is broken and why I’m pointing my audience toward open-source alternatives like the Ulanzi TC001 instead.
A Note on Transparency: I received this unit from Divoom for review. While they invited me to join their affiliate program, I have declined. I do not recommend this product at its current price point for users who value privacy or real-time data accuracy, and I do not want to profit from sales of a device I cannot endorse.

If you can remember your password, it is weak. Your brain defaults to patterns, and patterns are easy to break. It is time to stop using your browser to save credentials and time to dump closed-source managers that rely on "trust me, bro" marketing.
We are trading convenience for verification. I am explaining why browser storage is a security nightmare and why I avoid tools like 1Password and LastPass. Instead, we are looking at two of my favorite tools for privacy: Proton Pass for cloud sync, and KeePassXC for total local control.
