This one is for my people-pleasers! Where you at?! Haha Gosh, I feel this episode so deeply because I’ve lived a lot of my life picking up other people’s sh!t.
And by this I mean that when I say or do something that upsets someone… I try to make it ‘better’ or ‘solve the problem’ which truly doesn’t exist. How often do you find yourself a little nervous when other people have big reactions to something you’ve said or done?
Maybe it’s learning to set new boundaries and someone has an issue with it, etc…
This is what I’m talking about on this week’s episode and it is sooo good! I give you some examples from my life as to where I’ve really learned to regulate my nervous system around other people’s emotions and how I’ve learned to hold space for them. This can be so powerful as a mom because we can learn how to not only hold space for our kids, but allow them to process through their emotions so that they don’t get stored within their body. When it comes to showing up YOUR best as a mom, it’s about learning how to regulate your own emotions so that you aren’t putting them onto those around you. And you won’t be picking up others' emotions that aren’t yours to carry anymore either! Go listen + I’d love to hear what you think!
