  1. It’s time to break out the notepad or journal.  What is the goal you want to achieve?  For greatest chance of success, have it be a SMART goal which we covered during the New Years episode in season 11. Now, what will be some of the obstacles you can forsee coming up or moments that you’ll just want to quit.  Write down what they are, and then your plan to overcome them if they do come up.
  2. It’s time to create some if/then statements. You know yourself better than anyone else, so whatever usually precedes self sabotaging behaviors, create a plan in what you will do in order to ensure you stay on track. It is imperative to extremely specific while doing this, and written down plans work much better as they seem more real and concrete.
