In this episode, we talk with Amy Elias, a certified Independent Revelation Wellness Instructor. We discuss a new book that she is leading a book study for, called The Body Revelation, written by the CEO of Revelation Wellness, Alisa Keeton! 

KEY MESSAGES:

• Too often, people of faith are taught to ignore, avoid, or forget our bodies, but this book reminds us that God calls our bodies good and cares about our pain. The Body Revelation: 
  •  Walks us through six steps for metabolizing personal pain.
  • Shows us how understanding the mind/body/soul connection can help us make healthier choices.
  • Teaches us how to achieve well-being and live for more than a number on a scale.
  • Helps people banish shame and pick up the transforming love of God that takes our pain and turns it into purpose.
  • Helps people go from feeling stuck in sin and shame to a transforming, joy-living, abundant life.
• It’s possible for bad news to get stuck in good bodies. But it’s also possible for good bodies to get unstuck.
• We can keep doing what we’ve always done, getting the same results that leave us feeling shame, fear, and disgust. Or we go a new way. With the courage of Christ, we can walk through that pain.
• We’re going to get a little uncomfortable – there will be some moments of tension – but I promise you, it will heal pain.
• Your health struggles are not your fault. It’s not that you are doing something wrong, but it’s mostly likely that something wrong was done to you.
• By the end of the book, your pain and sickness turn into purpose!
