Last fall I worked hard to create a quiet place in the loft of a century-old carriage house. Here I talk about that a bit. 

Here is a lesson I learned from people who have been through hard times and trusted the Lord and clustered together. 

Lois and I have four sons, four daughters, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, and soon, Lord-willing we will have 16 grandchildren. We don't need to read books on prayer. We have a lot to pray about every day. Everyone should have someone who know what is happening in their lives and prays for them.

Have you ever noticed that God often shows up just on time, not early and not late. I think He does that to build our faith. 

I was eating an apple one evening out on Bittersweet Farm, watching the sun go down and I had a warm memory. 

Even a simple gift, given in Jesus name, will be rewarded forever in heaven. 

One day I was thinking about what a good dog Hazzard has been for our family. He will be twelve this spring. 

Not all the banana bread in the world is mine, but every once in a while some of it is. Here is a story that will make your mouth water.
