The sounds of diesel buses in San Luis Obispo may soon be a thing of the past. In August, the city of San Luis Obispo celebrated the addition of two all-electric buses to the SLO Transit fleet and announced its plan to introduce six more.

With the holidays coming up, student employees at the Cal Poly Creamery work to prepare and ship out their annual holiday cheese boxes. Though this year’s holiday cheese box sales have ended, Cal Poly cheese can be found at Market Poly Canyon, California Fresh Market and a few other local grocery stores.

For over a decade, Cheap Thrills Records and Captain Nemo’s Toys and Games have offered a twenty-four hour game room. The combined business shares one large store in downtown San Luis Obispo on Higuera St. 

Located on a historic estate in San Simeon, Hearst Castle is a well-known destination on the central coast. Each year, the castle’s seasonal Holiday Twilight Tour gives guests a chance to see the castle lit up with lights, Christmas trees and other decor at night. 

What first started as a senior project is now a comprehensive and ever-evolving sex education Canvas course that students can anonymously self-enroll in at any time.

Oceano’s Deltina Coffee Roasters officially opened their second location on Taft Street in San Luis Obispo. The store replaced the now shut down Kin Coffee Bar that was previously at that location. 

In the last month, Quickie Delivery Service has received several warnings from the Cal Poly Police Department (CPPD) about using electric scooters on campus.

Prove Labs is a student-run organization on Cal Poly’s campus and the club is working to break the world record for most miles driven on one charge. The car will be powered by a battery pack comprising over 7 thousand lithium-ion cells.
