Jasmine Drumright graduated with Data Analytics Cohort 6.

For two years I worked in museums for my hometown in Canada before moving to Tennessee in 2019. With the onset of Covid and limited museum opportunities, I pivoted to the insurance industry through a data entry role. My interest in data grew and I wanted to know what happened beyond the entry process, namely how data is used to solve problems. That's when I discovered data analytics -- and NSS! From this bootcamp, I'm excited to transition into a data analyst career and hope to continue my passion for art along the way.

I double majored in English and economics because I couldn’t decide which subject I liked more: English or math. I’m a content creator with a passion for numbers and data; a wife and dog mom; and an enthusiastic cyclist, mountain biker, and ultra-marathoner. I live by to-do lists, love helping people learn, and can’t wait to enter the data analytics field.

Prior to beginning my journey in software development, I was working as Business Sales Consultant in the telecommunications field. I enjoyed the opportunity that telecommunications gave me to meet new people and solve complex problems while working in a team environment. I was introduced to software development by a family member and realized that the tech field would allow me to continue to utilize those skills, while also allowing me to grow in the field. This began my interest in software and has continued to to grow with every new type of technology I encounter.

Husband and father of five children. I am transitioning into software development, after serving 20 years in the United States Army. I look forward to facing and growing from all challenges and opportunities this new career field presents to me.

As an athlete I've been a team player my entire life. I love collaborating with others to reach a common goal and being challenged to reach my full potential. Software development allows me to do both and truly put my energy into something that has become a passion.

Prior to becoming a software developer, I worked full time in distillation and brewing. Like software development, these careers rely on an attention to detail and ensuring all processes are accounted for in order to ensure everything works together seamlessly. I had been interested in software development since dipping my toes in basic website design during internships in college. I enjoy using both my creativity and problem solving skills to create useful tools. Immediately after beginning to learn Javascript basics, I was hooked. I love new challenges and never want to stop learning.
