I was introduced to coding my a family member and through her, I learned about the creative aspects of coding and the influence it has in our world. The more I learned, the more I want to become a part of that conversation.

Information is the new oil and I'm the guy to help you get that new oil to your clients. My love of all things tech and innovation is what brought me here. Some how for 28 years I never touched code, and the moment I did I experienced a lightbulb moment and knew "this is it". Before code I worked almost exclusively blue collar jobs such as delivering mail, working in a chicken plant, and moving furniture. Hiring me means hiring someone who is willing to get their hands dirty and will do what it takes to get things done.

I fell in love with the idea of coding because of an old friend. He told me to take this class in high school and I didn't think much of it at the time, but once I was in the class and started learning all the things I could do with code I fell in love. I even started doing my own coding outside of class. When we were assigned to do major projects, I would always go above and beyond of what was expected for that assignment.

My introduction to software development started with an interest in graphic design. In 2014 the choice was made to attend Nossi College of Art. One of my courses was based on Web Design and learning the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. An interest was peaked and a desire to learn more was born. It would be 6 years later before my pursuit and quest for more knowledge would lead to Nashville Software School. Since starting my skills in software development have expanded with better understanding of the languages previously learned at Nossi while also learning new frameworks and languages like React and C#.

I have worked in several different healthcare environments since 2012, but the software and technology have always been the most interesting part for me. I was trying to teach myself software and web development when I was introduced to Nashville Software School. Through NSS, I have learned so much more than I could have done on my own. I am excited to have an opportunity to change my career into something more fulfilling, and also into a field that is so integral to modern healthcare.
