What lies behind the glass when you look into a mirror? In Korean shamanism, mirrors are sacred objects — bridges between the living and the dead. When someone dies, every mirror in the home must be covered, lest the departed soul become trapped between worlds.
Yuna, a university student in Seoul, never believed in superstitions. Until she started seeing a girl in every mirror she encountered. First in her apartment bathroom. Then in the university library basement. Then inches from her face in the gym locker room. Each time, the girl was closer. Each time, the girl's lips moved a little more. Until finally, she spoke.
