Ein Baumhaus mitten in der Stadt. Erfahrt hier alles über das Klimabaumhaus Bayreuth, inklusive einer Portion Hoffnung. Wie reagieren die Menschen, wenn plötzlich gegenüber des Bayreuther Rathauses ein Baumhaus steht? Welche Herausforderungen gab es für die Beteiligten? Viele weitere Fragen werden hier von Leo und Luca beantwortet.

Dieses Gespräch wurde Anfang Januar aufgenommen, als das Baumhaus in Bayreuth noch stand. Inzwischen wurde es von den AktivistInnen abgebaut. Ein Update zu den aktuellen Ereignissen gibt es am Ende der Folge. Der Protest geht nämlich weiter.

We fulfil different roles, whether we are activists, working in an organization or reaching out to other actors. Sometimes, these roles might seem contradictory. Carla and I try to make sense of why they can still connect and how important it is to facilitate this kind of diversity. We also share one method of connecting a diverse group of people on talking about climate change.

Find out, what it is like being at the Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more specifically COP26 in Glasgow, UK. In this episode, Carla Madueño Florian and I will share our experience with you. There are numerous news articles, blogs, podcasts that have already discussed the outcome of the conference. Here, we will talk about what it felt like being at the conference, and how we could participate as observers. We were part of the constituencies RINGO (Research) and YOUNGO (Youth). We will also share some of the inspiring messages we got from other participants.

Anfang April haben sich Maraike Schäfer und Steffen Schwardmann über die Initiative Klimaentscheid Bayreuth unterhalten. Diese hat das Ziel, durch ein Bürgerbegehren bei den Bürgern für mehr Aufmerksamkeit zu sorgen und PolitikerInnen zu überzeugen, das Thema Klimakrise anzuerkennen und angemessen zu handeln. Maraike erzählt auch wie Bürgerbegehren funktionieren und wie sie zu ihrem Engagement bei Klimaentscheid Bayreuth gekommen ist.
