But when Eliza, dressed in full princess fashion, tries to join in on the fun in her household and neighborhood, she is disappointed to discover that being a princess prevents her from doing many of the things she loves. God had been so good to Israel, but they kept disobeying Him. So, God sent Malachi to tell them to turn back to him. He promises to send His messenger, who will purify the priests and judge the people who are doing wrong. He promises that if they will turn their hearts back to God, He will bless them.

And God’s promises came true – he sent John the Baptist to prepare the way of the Lord, encouraging people to repent, and he sent his Son, Jesus, to take away the sins of the world.

A big THANK YOU to John Brown and Brian Wright for allowing me to read their incredible and beautifully poetic interpretations of the minor prophets. Sad to have finished them, but looking forward to starting another Bible-based series next Sunday!
