In this episode, Garrett kicks off the series with his story about how he found his identity in running cross country and struggling at wanting to be good at something so as to have value. Along the way, he met a guy named Ross Barnes who became his mentor and changed the trajectory of his life. He eventually found his identity in Christ and his story came full circle when he became a mentor, volunteering alongside Ross in a ministry called Younglife.
