'Bunny' joined Stormcast discussing how he got started in rugby league, how he landed at Melbourne Storm, the amount of games he and his recruitment team watch, what he looks for in a player and how they will be a 'cultural fit' at the Storm. He also touched on the Storm Academies in Queensland and Victoria and moving to a single source system which will strengthen development, along with sharing some of his favourite signings that forged great careers in the Storm jersey. Back-to-back wins for the first time since Round 6, the Storm may have just found what they've been searching for in Season 2025. That being, consistency. Melbourne managed to limit the potent, attack filled Cowboys side, maintaining control and managing a 24 point win at the end of the 80 minutes. In what was torrential conditions on the Gold Coast, beautiful one day, wet the next - Storm managed to play to the conditions better than the Titans and came away with the 2 points in what can only be described as an uncomfortable watch where Melbourne never looked like they were in control. Wet weather is the great leveller, the great equaliser which inhibited the Storm to get their natural attacking game on. Inconsistency or the lack of consistency from week to week, game to game is hurting the Storm. The inability to win back-to-back games or put together a string of wins is a concern. In what started to look like a magical performance by Melbourne, quickly turned to disaster with the Storm's ill discipline costing them victory in an entertaining but spiteful match against the high flying Green Machine. On a solemn, moving pre-game ceremony, Storm channelled the ANZAC Spirit in trying conditions, getting their 20th consecutive win over the Rabbitohs in Melbourne. In a game where Storm always looked to be in control, unlike previous weeks, Melbourne did not rely on their attacking flair to establish victory over Souths.
