I don't know if it was basketball or soccer. Although, it was probably a soccer field where Bobso architect and Yousseff Dinarr met over 20 years ago. They both loved music and at that time: Reggae! So, they blended their backgrounds to make the best sounds they could. Bobso was born in Africa and later moved to France. Youssef also has a strong French influence but it's more from the Carribean Islands. They've been working together putting out amazing music for over 20 years, and they both now reside in The Netherlands. You can really get Jet Lag from this show. Anyway, did I say they were amazing? Good...Then I'll stop rambling on and let you listen.

Samantha Moon is using her gift of singing and songwriting to help englighten people. Does that sound too preachy? Okay, she wants to make people happy. Her song "Divine Being" is catchy, clever and should be heard by everyone. Her song "I love you" is a tribute to her sister who she lost to cancer. This one is heartbreaking but important and is bound to be an anthem for anyone who is in that fight. Please listen to this interview and these songs and get to know Samantha Moon, a woman who forges on through heartache and wants to make the world smile.

Rob DeFriese is the real deal. He has done whatever it takes to make a living doing what he loves. Singing. Performing. Composing. Entertaining wherever there is a need for a skilled singer/songwriter. And he has done this without comprimising his values or who he is. It can be done. It isn't easy. But it can be done. I encourage anyone who dreams of a career in this business to listen to his story. His music is great and he's a lot of fun too.

If you are a fan of any genre of music you must listen to Austria's Kayla Kristen's "Hey Boy". Bits of every genre are used in this fast-paced, upbeat, song. (The bridge even sounds like a ballad). Clearly this is a dance song but it has pieces of so many different styles of music within it. I think Kayla has invented a new genre. She just hasn't named it yet. Oh, and her vocals are top-notch. Kudos to Raeme Brown, Kayla Kristen's lyricist for this song.

South African born, Chris Kamstra is on a roll with his music. He recorded his last song "Don't tell me what to do" with nothing more than his guitar, his I phone, and a tremendous amount of determination. That song had over 3 million streams and over 2 million shares. This latest song was recorded in an actual studio with professional producers. You can really hear the intensity in Chris's voice.

This is Szandra's second visit to Story & Song. She was here promoting her Christmas song last time. There are nothing but good things to say about this young lady of 15 years old. She is wise beyond her years. She is truly a professional. She is loaded with talent and she is blessed with a great sense of humor. This is a fun interview for our listeners here and in Europe!

Singer/songwriter Eliyanah certainly has the power to tug on my heart strings with her timeless lyrics and music. They seem to go together effortlessly. Listening to songs about relationships which have ended can be depressing. However, Eliyanah does it perfectly. While there is saddness there is even more of a sense of hope and a lesson learned. Mostly, there is a feeling of unity. Afterall, we've all gone through this at one time or another. We just aren't all able to express it so beautifully.

Accomplished vocalist, Peter Lawrence Gray, speaks about his training and experiences singing, performing and most of all training. He has learned to use many of the skills used to guide his singing, to also guide his life. Both for the better. I am still reflecting on this conversation. This was a really interesting interview and an even more interesting vocalist.
