Have you ever felt like God has called you to do something so outside your comfort zone that you’re nervous of what others may think? This is exactly how most of us feel when it comes to beginning a new conversation, or relationship, with someone who is drastically different than us.

Join us as we walk this path with a man named Philip, an Ethiopian Eunuch, and the conversation, relationship, and ultimate transformation in life that takes place all because one person decided to reach across gender, racial and even political lines to start a conversation.

Far too often when we encounter people with different backgrounds, views, or experiences than our own we become more concerned with our perspectives than the person we are interacting with. Ultimately we are more focused on winning an argument that building relationships. 

Jesus' encounter with the woman at the well arguably gives us the greatest example of how we should be For People. In this exchange, Jesus is dealing with a person who he could not have less in common with; a samaritan woman with a checkered past, yet he engages in a conversation that shows he is  far more interested in winning her soul than winning an argument. What is our answer when God speaks and reveals that He has more for us, but there may be a cost?  This is the question that the young Elisha has to answer when God sends him the prophet Elijah and is anointed to learn and grow under him.  He has a choice: follow under the prophet and learn or stay in his comfortable lifestyle?

We too are often faced with this same decision.  Join us as we dive into the text to not just see Elisha's response, but also how we are called to lean into God's call to grow with and alongside other generations.

When we are For People, we are for the next generation. Elijah had a purpose but didn’t have someone to share that call with. God leads him to anoint, teach and mentor young Elisha and journey together.

The prodigal son wanted the inheritance and asked his father for it before he left.  But the older brother never left... He stayed out of duty to the father, but what if staying got him just as lost as his younger brother?  As we dig into this story more, we see that the older brother has some "baggage" just like his younger counterpart- it just looks a little different.  And if we are honest, we may see ourselves more in the older brother than the younger brother at times in our life and journey.

Join us as we dive into the second act of the parable of the prodigal son. We will hear a deep message that Jesus has for the "older brothers" in life and discover once again the Father's heart not just to the younger son, but to the older son as well... and maybe even for us today.

The prodigal son wanted the inheritance of his father without the work, time, and relationship that came along with it. In the same way many of us find ourselves in places where we want the blessings, favor, and help of our heavenly father without the relationship and dedication that should come with our walk of faith. 

What is truly amazing about the story of the prodigal son is that even though the father had full rights to consider his son dead and had no requirement to accept him back, he did. Not only this, but he clothed him, put sandals on his feet and a ring on his finger, and he threw a feast to celebrate. The father was so excited of the return that he didn't even regard the past actions of his son... he just wanted him home.

On this Easter Sunday we wrap up Graves to Gardens by diving in to the story of Mary Magdalene at the tomb of Jesus. In this encounter Mary thinks that Jesus is the gardener, but everything changes when Jesus speaks her name. Listen in as Pastor Kyle teaches on our resurrected savior from John 20.

Silent Saturday, or Holy Saturday is a day that we don't think about much when it comes to holy week and the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ... but that doesn't mean that there weren't things that took place during this day. This week in Graves to Gardens we are looking at 2 individuals who were called "secret disciples" of Jesus who decided that it was time to make their faith in Jesus known.
