The Flatlander and The Mountain Girl. A story of two women growing up a few years and a few States apart whose lives could not have been more different. Hear how we met at Medical Dispensaries in the High Country of Colorado and eventually became Besties. Oh, and how she survived being crushed by a ton of printing paper. Perspective may be the lesson, and Mary Jane and her pain management properties are our common threads.
Yes, I can do math and you are not seeing things. Episode 7 is really 100 for me, your host, so listen to this episode for a tribute to The Libra Lounge podcast, 2011 - 2013, featuring old friends and what to do if you eat a Stress Sandwich. Robb and Adam form this week's Crew and HOLY SURPRISES BATMAN, you may wanna call and leave us a message on this one!
To sum with a good TEASER, this episode somehow weaves some basic Cannabis Science and Dispensary Shopping 101 discussions into her child bride story...
Guest Josh Johnson, aka JJBigKitty, takes us on his journey as a young Japanese-American finding his way into the Rocky Mountains of Colorado because of a dog named Happy. Mucho lessons here for us all as we navigate this pandemic and life beyond. Musical intermission "Our Weed" by Gargeezy feat. AT & Illa from the way back archives.
YIKES we went there...
After a 6-week hiatus STKT is back with a historical lesson of religion and politics. Lisa and Adam are just average Americans, with degrees and nothing better to do than read shit. It all comes out in this episode, and the links below support most of what you will hear.
Nothing's normal right now. We are full of anxiety and are forever being changed by the pandemic and social and political upheavals. Guess we must deal with our angst now, or forever repeat history as "they" say. Do your fucking homework yadda yadda yadda.

We vary from the usual 7-question interview format a bit as I document, through 4 videos over the past decade, my Cannabis Science journey.
From dreaming of living like it's legal, to being the one helping others in a medical shop and attending the first ever Cannabis Research conference, this journey has been cathartic in retrospect. BUT...
...WHY? Why hasn't rigorous science led to quality medicine in the form of affordable products in legal Cannabis dispensaries in the US by now? Why don't doctors even understand the basics of the human Endocannabinoid System? Do you know these basics before you walk into your first dispensary to simply try to feel better?
The Storyteller Kitty Crew takes on these questions from their anecdotal experiences over the years, and ends with basic recommendations for YOUR GRANDMOTHERS. Find links to research mentioned in this episode below, and in Episode 5 we will overview how to comprehend scientific literature in more depth because it's up to YOU, yes YOU, the lowly consumer to find out what works for you until WE, the people, eliminate federal barriers to study the plant.

Episode THREE! 3. I loves me things in threes, I loves me some mountain vibes and I loves me some STEEZY STACY, but what I do NOT tolerate is racism in America.
Listen to ski/snowboard instructor Stacy Smith (Steezy_Stacy on IG) describe his tale of being arrested in Denver this past summer during a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest. Guess why? Guess what ethnicity most of his fellow jail mates were? Guess what police department is under investigation for their behavior at this event and WHAT CAN WE, as HUMANS, do to truly, finally end systemic racism in America and beyond?

What is Storyteller Kitty Time in exactly ONE MINUTE?
This.
Robb, activist and Cannabis Science enthusiast, describes being in chronic pain and on permanent disability, falling through systemic cracks and finding a little relief and much peace of mind in legal Cannabis in Colorado. Bonus "Dispensary Shopping 101" and how to mix THC and CBD into pain relief regimens. Adam and Kylee join The STKT Crew to add how COVID-19 is making unbearable situations worse, but with that mix of pessimism/optimism that provides the listener a modicum of hope and practical information.
