Hello,

We are reading about Bugs today. I learnt some interesting information about different type of insects.

Like Bugs and their close relatives are Invertebrate animals and that don't have backbones!!

Some of the main groups of invertebrates are :

1. ​ Arthropods - example - honeybee , praying mantis, ant, bark scorpion , centipede, ameircan lobster
2. ​ Worms - earthworm, leech, red mangrove flatworm
3. ​ Mollusks - Garden slug , sea snail , octopus , oyster.

We called Octopus a bug what we meant was it belongs to enormous invertebrate family !

We read that all insects have basically 3 body parts :

1. ​ Eyes
2. ​ Abdomen
3. ​ Thorax ( middle body segment , between neck and abdomen)

learnt today about Thorax !

We had planned reading another book but at the very last moment this book caught his attention so here we are reading chapters from 'ARJUNA" the brave and honourable prince, considered to be the greatest archer of his time.

There was a time I would read for him and now he's reading with me ( don't miss the sound effects ) .. asking questions and adding his perspective on illustrations drawn. Sigh :) So this is what they mean when they say "Time Flies!! "

We gave a shout out to his friend Aidan, who is in love with one of his story called "Cars of Confidence" . His mom told us he listens to it on repeat mode :) Hopefully K will record more stories with me in this season :)

I oten say we don’t need to fix their problems but give them space to make them feel SEEN and HEARD..

and what happens when you do this ? they feel safe to experience that emotion and process it either on their own or with our help..

The more co regualtion we offer them in the foundational years the more Self regulated they become.

in 5 days he's turning 6 but i had recorded this three days ago. It was an impromptu recording where i asked him six random questions and then two bonus questions. Some of the answers made me go "aww" and some were hilarious..especially the answer to bonus + question!
