The Cross. An instrument of horrendous torture and pain yet Jesus the Christ turned it into a place of glory and life. Only a few of the words that Jesus spoke from the cross are recorded and we will spend the next few weeks looking at some of them. Looking at His love, His compassion, His humanity. Jesus could have called legions of angels to rescue Him but he didn't. Because he loved us and was obedient to His Father. Jesus could have gone His own way, but he didn't.And because he loved us and was obedient to His Father, Jesus changed the course of history, making it His-story.Let us journey together to the foot of the cross and worship Christ our Lord.

Over Advent we will be looking at real gifts: gifts of life, gifts of waiting, gifts of obedience, even the gifts of ourselves. Then we will celebrate the ultimate gift of all, the gift of God Himself coming down and becoming human. Join us and together we can receive, and give, gifts that will last an eternity.
